Teacher Tip: Dry Erase Activities

In my classroom, I found myself wanting to incorporate dry erase activities with my kiddos, but I could not afford purchasing a class set of dry erase boards or other dry erase materials. After some experimentation, I found the following ways to make dry erase surfaces:

1. Put a piece of white cardstock in a page protector = portable dry erase board

2. Put activity pages in page protectors. Students can change activities when directed. This turns any worksheet into a dry erase activity!

3. Use a personal laminator to laminate a piece of computer paper = more durable dry erase board. Use different colors of computer paper to make different colored dry erase boards.

4. Use dry erase paint to make surfaces dry erase. You can paint walls, chairs, table tops, etc.

5. They even sell dry erase wall decals. These wall decals are peel and stick.

Need to use permanent ink. No problem! You can write on laminated items with a permanent marker. When you want to erase what you have written, use an alcohol swab to erase the permanent ink.
